2025 Miami Mayoral Election
The 2025 Miami mayoral election will be held on November 4, 2025. Incumbent mayor Francis Suarez is term-limited and cannot run for a third term. Miami has runoff elections if no candidates can get a majority of the vote. A runoff election will be held on November 18, 2025, if necessary. Francis Suarez
Francis Xavier Suarez ( ; born October 6, 1977) is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the 43rd List of mayors of Miami, mayor of Miami since 2017. A member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party, he previously served as a member of the Miami#Law and Government, Miami City Commission from 2009 to 2017. He is the son of former Miami mayor Xavier Suarez. Suarez is a graduate of Florida International University (FIU), where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance. Xavier Suarez
Xavier Louis Suarez (born May 21, 1949) is an American politician who was the first Cuban-born mayor of Miami and was a Miami-Dade county commissioner. Early life and education Suarez was born on May 21, 1949, in Las Villas, Cuba. Suarez moved to Florida and attended the Colegio de Belén, but graduated from St. Anselm's Abbey School in 1967.The International Jesuit Alumni Directory – Belen (Bernard C. Joseph Xavier Carollo (born March 12, 1955) is a Cuban-American politician who served as mayor of Miami from 1996 to 1997 and again from 1998 to 2001.
