2025 LTA Season
The 2025 LTA season is the inaugural season of the ''League of Legends'' Championship of The Americas (LTA), a pan-American professional esports league for the video game ''League of Legends''. The league launched with 16 teams, thirteen (13) of whom are franchised, two guest teams, and one provisional guest team, all playing across three splits in line with the new three-split structure and competitive calendar introduced the game's developer Riot Games starting with the 2025 competitive season. League Of Legends Championship Of The Americas
The ''League of Legends'' Championship of The Americas, also known as the League of The Americas (LTA), is the top level of professional ''League of Legends'' in the Americas, which includes the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. The esports league is run by Riot Games and has sixteen teams split into two conferences, North and South. Each annual season of competition is divided into three splits, with playoff competition between the top teams. At the end of each split, the best teams qualify for the three international tournaments – The winner of the first split qualifies for the First Stand Tournament, the winners of each conference in the second split qualify for the Mid Season Invitational, and the top three teams in the third split playoffs (known as the Americas Regional Championship) qualify for the annual ''League of Legends'' World Championship. Disguised (esports)
Disguised (abbreviated DSG) is an esports organization founded in 2023 by Canadian streamer Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang. The organization currently fields active teams in ''Valorant'', ''League Of Legends'', ''Apex Legends'', and Tekken 8 with plans to compete in ''Teamfight Tactics'' in 2024. The organization's games are generally streamed on Disguised Toast's ''Twitch'' channel, and are marked by Disguised Toast's extreme passion and anxiety for his team to perform well. Jo Yong-in (), better known as CoreJJ, is a South Korean ''League of Legends'' player who is the support for Team Liquid of the League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA). He won the 2017 World Championship with Samsung Galaxy. He was named MVP of the 2020 LCS Summer Split. He received his green card in February 2022. Jeong Eon-yeong (), better known as Impact, is a South Korean ''League of Legends'' player for Team Liquid of the League of Legends Championship of The Americas (LTA) North Conference. Impact won the Season 3 League of Legends World Championship as a member of SK Telecom T1 K. He played for both Team Impulse and NRG Esports in the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS), before transferring to Cloud9 in May 2016. Impact left Cloud9 after the 2017 season and joined Team Liquid, where he won four LCS titles before departing the team for Evil Geniuses after the end of the 2020 season. Career Xenics Storm Impact began his career as a support player for Xenics Storm in 2012, and the team managed to place third in spring. Bwipo
Gabriël Rau (born 24 December 1998), better known as Bwipo, is a Belgian-Brazilian professional ''League of Legends'' player for FlyQuest. He currently plays in the LTA North Conference, and has previously competed in the LEC for Fnatic, where his team was the runner-up of the 2018 League of Legends World Championship, as well as the LCS, the predecessor to the LTA North. Professional career Fnatic Bwipo joined Fnatic in January 2018 as a substitute top laner, backing up Paul "sOAZ" Boyer. He did not play in his first split with the team, and Fnatic went on to win the spring split. In summer, after only a week of play, Fnatic substituted out their bot laner and reigning MVP Martin "Rekkles" Larsson in favor of Bwipo, citing it as Rekkles's decision due to changes in the meta. LGD Gaming is a Chinese professional esports organization based in Hangzhou. It is one of the oldest esports organizations in China and currently has players competing in ''Dota 2'', '' Honor of Kings'', ''League of Legends'', ''Overwatch'', and '' PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds''. Dignitas (esports)
Dignitas is an American esports organization based in Newark, New Jersey. It was founded by Michael "ODEE" O'Dell in 2003 as a merger of two '' Battlefield 1942'' clans. Dignitas was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016 and is now a part of parent company Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE). The team is best known for its ''League of Legends'', '' Rocket League'', '' Fortnite'', and '' Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' squads. 2025 Esports World Cup – League Of Legends
The multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game ''League of Legends'' had a tournament at the 2025 Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 16 to 20, 2025. Twelve teams took part in this tournament – three from the LTA (Americas), two each from the LCK (Korea), LCP (Asia-Pacific), LEC (EMEA) and LPL (China), and the defending champions T1.
