2025 Italian Local Elections
The 2025 Italian local elections were held at the municipal level, where the first round were held between April and May and run-off rounds were held on 8 and 9 June of the same year, concurrently with the 2025 Italian referendum, five abrogative referendums. In Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol the elections will be held on 4 May. In the Aosta Valley the elections will be held in the autumn. In the 4 municipalities voting in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the elections will be held on 13 and 14 April, with a possible run-off round on 27 and 28 April. For municipalities that renewed the municipal council in 2020, the vote has been postponed to spring 2026: this delay is due to the postponement of the 2020 administrative elections to September, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. In ordinary regions, the consultations will only concern municipalities with early elections. Civic List (Italy)
Civic list (''Lista civica'') is the name given to a party list presented at an Italian local election which has no official connection with a national political party and which campaigns on local issues. Overview Civic lists usually do not refer to political parties or ideologies and their programmes generally focus on territorial issues. The most common names for these non-aligned lists refer to the territory or to the candidate (for example: ''All together for X'', where X is the name of the city, or ''Civic list for Y'', where Y is the candidate).
