2025 Indian Premier League Final
The 2025 Indian Premier League final was a Twenty20 (T20) cricket match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on 3 June 2025 to determine the winner of the 2025 Indian Premier League. It was originally scheduled to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on 25 May 2025 before being rescheduled. After winning the toss, Punjab Kings elected to field. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) came in to bat, and scored 190/9 in 20 overs. Punjab Kings were restricted to 184/7 in their 20 overs; thus, RCB won the match by 6 runs and won their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy after 18 years. The 2008 Indian Premier League season was the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI in 2007. The season commenced on 18 April 2008 with the final match was held on 1 June 2008. The competition started with a Round-robin tournament, double round robin league stage, in which each of the 8 teams played a home match and an away match against every other team. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, which was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore to determine the winner of the 2016 season of the Indian Premier League, an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament in India.
