2025 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge
The 2025 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge season is the third season of the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge after being established in 2023 as a replacement for the IMSA Prototype Challenge. The season began on January 20 at Daytona International Speedway and will conclude on October 19 at Road Atlanta. After IMSA's removal of the LMP3 class from the 2024 IMSA SportsCar Championship, this series is now the highest tier of racing for LMP3s in the United States. On August 29, 2024, it was announced that GT3 cars (GTDX) will be added alongside the existing two classes. The 2025 IMSA SportsCar Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship) is an ongoing motor racing championship and the 55th racing season sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association, which traces its lineage back to the 1971 IMSA GT Championship. Markus Pommer (; born 27 January 1991) is a German racing driver. Career Born in Heilbronn, Pommer began his racing career in karting 1999. He remained in karting until 2006. Amongst others he won 2004 the ''Southern German ADAC Kart Cup – ICA Junior''. 2007 he began his formula racing career. He competed in the Formula BMW ADAC for Mücke Motorsport. He concluded the season behind his teammates Philipp Eng and Kevin Mirocha on the tenth position in the championship. Valentino Catalano (born 2 November 2005) is a German racing driver who currently competes in the Prototype Cup Germany with Gebhardt Motorsport. Early career Karting Catalano started karting at the Motorclub Haßloch at the age of 5. The Duqueine D08 is a Le Mans Prototype LMP3 built to ACO 2020 2nd Generation Le Mans Prototype LMP3 regulations. Gebhardt Motorsport is a German motor racing team and constructor founded by brothers Günther and Fritz Gebhardt.
