2025 ICC Champions Trophy Final
The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy final was a One Day International (ODI) cricket match played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on 9 March 2025 to determine the winner of 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. It was played between India national cricket team, India and New Zealand national cricket team, New Zealand. It was the second time that India and New Zealand played a Champions Trophy final against each other, after the 2000 ICC KnockOut Trophy final, 2000 final. New Zealand won the toss and electing to bat first, they registered a score of 251/7. Joel Sheldon Wilson (born 30 December 1966) is a Trinidadian international cricket umpire from Trinidad and Tobago. Wilson is a former member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, who represented the West Indies. He stands in matches of all the three formats of international cricket – Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). The final of the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy was played on 5 October 2009 between New Zealand and Australia at the SuperSport Park, Centurion. 2002 ICC Champions Trophy Final
The final of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy was rained-out twice, on 29 and 30 September 2002 at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The final was scheduled to be played between Sri Lanka cricket team and the India cricket team on 29 September 2002. Sri Lanka batted first and scored 244 runs for five wickets in 50 overs. India had played only two overs before the match was stopped by the rain. On 30 September, the Sri Lankan team again batted first and scored 222 runs for seven wickets. The ''Laws of Cricket'' is a code that specifies the rules of the game of cricket worldwide. The earliest known code was drafted in 1744. Since 1788, the code has been owned and maintained by the private Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in Lord's Cricket Ground, London. There are currently 42 Laws (always written with a capital "L"), which describe all aspects of how the game is to be played. MCC has re-coded the Laws six times, each with interim revisions that produce more than one edition. The most recent code, the seventh, was released in October 2017; its 3rd edition came into force on 1 October 2022.
