The 2025 EFL League One play-off final was an association football match which was played on 25 May 2025 at Wembley Stadium, London, to determine the third and final team to gain Promotion and relegation, promotion from EFL League One, the third tier of English football league system, English football, to the EFL Championship. The top two teams of the 2024–25 EFL League One, Birmingham City F.C., Birmingham City and Wrexham F.C., Wrexham, gained automatic promotion to the Championship, while the clubs placed from third to sixth in the table – Stockport County F.C., Stockport County, Charlton Athletic F.C., Charlton Athletic, Wycombe Wanderers F.C., Wycombe Wanderers and Leyton Orient F.C., Leyton Orient – took part in the 2025 English Football League play-offs. 2025–26 EFL Championship
The 2025–26 EFL Championship (referred to as the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) will be the 10th season of the EFL Championship under its current title and the 34th season under its current league division format. The season will begin on 8 August 2025 and end on 2 May 2026. The 2025–26 season will consist of 33 weekend rounds, 9 midweek rounds, and 4 bank holiday rounds. Edgeley Park
Edgeley Park is a association football, football stadium in Edgeley, Stockport, England. Built for Stockport RFC, a rugby league club, in 1891, by 1903 the rugby club was defunct and Stockport County F.C., Stockport County Football Club moved in. Matthew James Godden (born 29 July 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Charlton Athletic. Godden began his career playing for Scunthorpe United, where he signed professional terms in 2009.
