The 2025 season of Athletes Unlimited Softball League is the inaugural season of the league, which began on June 7, 2025. On April 16, 2025, Kim Ng was named the first commissioner of the AUSL. 2025 College Draft It was announced on April 13, 2025, that the College Draft would air on ESPNU on May 3, 2025. Prior to the draft, players received golden tickets notifying them they were eligible for the draft. Athletes Unlimited Softball League
The Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) is a women's professional softball league in the United States, founded in 2024 and run by Athletes Unlimited. History On June 4, 2024, Athletes Unlimited announced a new softball league, that will feature four teams playing a 30-game season in a traditional format, complementing the existing Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball Championship season. ESPN has signed on as a founding broadcast partner. The AUSL will become a city-based league beginning in 2026, while the inaugural season in 2025 will be touring with games in six to eight different cities. The average salary for a player will be $40,000–45,000, with salaries up to $75,000 achievable through bonus payments. James Madison Dukes Softball
The James Madison Dukes softball team represents James Madison University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC) and plays home games in Veterans Memorial Park. JMU has won six CAA championships, including back-to-back Championships in 2016 and 2017. The Dukes have been to the NCAA Division I softball tournament nine times, hosting Regionals and Super Regionals in 2016. Stacey "Nuvey" Nuveman-Deniz (born April 26, 1978) is an American softball coach and former player who is the head coach of the Bandits for the inaugural 2025 season of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). Previously, she has been the head coach of the San Diego State Aztecs softball team at San Diego State University (SDSU). She played for the UCLA Bruins at the catcher position on-and-off from 1997 to 2002, winning a national championship in 1999. She also won two Olympic gold medals and one silver medal for United States women's national softball team, Team USA. She holds the Pac-12 Conference, Pac-12 career records for batting average (baseball), batting average and slugging percentage; she simultaneously holds the NCAA career records for total bases and intentional walks (81). Jenny Dalton-Hill
Jenny Dalton-Hill (born March 5, 1974) is an American former collegiate All-American softball player and current sports commentator and general manager for the Bandits for the inaugural 2025 season of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). She played for the Arizona Wildcats from 1993 to 1996 where she won three Women's College World Series championships (1993, 1994, 1996). Having also played baseball, Dalton-Hill is a former member of the Colorado Silver Bullets and United States women's national baseball team, earning a bronze medal at the 2010 Women's Baseball World Cup. She holds the career Pac-12 and NCAA Division I records in RBIs. She is the first and one of nine NCAA players to hit .400 with 200 RBIs, 50 home runs and an .800 slugging percentage in her career. UCF Knights Softball
The UCF Knights softball program represents the University of Central Florida in the sport of softball. The Knights compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Big 12 Conference. The Knights play their home games at the UCF Softball Complex on UCF's main campus in Orange County, Florida near Orlando. The Knights are coached by head coach Cindy Ball-Malone. In the twenty two year history of the program, the Knights have won three American regular season championships, five conference tournament championships, and have twelve appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Skylar Wallace
Maelynn "Skylar" Wallace (born January 4, 2000) is an American professional softball player for the Bandits of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). She played college softball at Alabama and Florida. She was named the NFCA National Player of the Year in 2023. High school career Wallace attended Etowah High School in Woodstock, Georgia. During her high school career she was a four-time Etowah High School MVP, three-time all-state honoree, the 2015 5A Region Player of the Year and 2017 7A Region Player of the Year. Bubba Nickles
Madilyn "Bubba" Ida-Marie Nickles-Camarena (born March 8, 1998) is an American professional softball player for the Bandits of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). She played college softball for the UCLA Bruins, where she was named an All-American and won a national championship in 2019. She currently serves as an assistant coach at UCLA. She represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal. Playing career Nickles competes with the UCLA Bruins softball team and has been named a two-time Second Team and First Team All-Pac-12 player. Taylor McQuillin
Taylor Elizabeth McQuillin (born October 17, 1996) is a Mexican-American professional softball player for the Bandits of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). She played college softball at Arizona, where she was a starting pitcher. In her senior year, McQuillin led Arizona softball to a berth in the 2019 Women's College World Series after being absent for nearly a decade. After graduating from college, McQuillin was selected sixth overall by the Cleveland Comets in the second round of the 2019 NPF Draft.
