2024–25 Women's League Cup
The 2024–25 Women's League Cup was the 14th edition of the Women's Super League and Women's Championship's league cup competition. All 23 teams from the WSL and Championship took part in the competition. Arsenal were the defending champions. It marked the first time since the competition's inception in 2011 that the cup would not be played under the named sponsorship of Continental AG or under the branding of The Football Association following the completed takeover by Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL). On 16 December 2024, the WPLL announced a partnership with Subway, with the competition officially known as the Subway Women’s League Cup for sponsorship reasons. Megan Finnigan (born 2 April 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Women's Super League club Everton, who she also captains. Club career Everton Finnigan began her youth career with Everton's academy at the age of nine. She's remained with the club for her development and captained the team in the 2014 FA Woman's Youth Cup final. Justine Vanhaevermaet (; born 29 April 1992) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Super League club Everton and the Belgium national team. Club career Early career Furness attended Usworth Comprehensive School and represented Durham at County level.
