2024–25 Providence Friars Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Providence Friars men's basketball team represented Providence College during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by 2nd-year head coach Kim English, and played their home games at Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island as a member of the Big East Conference. This was the Friars' worst season since the 1984-85 season. Previous season The Friars finished the 2023–24 season 21–14, 10–10 in Big East play to finish in a tie for sixth place. As a No. 7 in the Big East tournament they defeated Georgetown in the first round and Creighton in the quarterfinals before losing to Marquette in the semifinals. Kim English (basketball)
Kim David English Jr. (born September 24, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player, former head basketball coach of the George Mason Patriots and current head basketball coach for the Providence Friars. He played college basketball for the University of Missouri before being selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 44th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft. Early life English was born on September 24, 1988, in Baltimore, Maryland. His mother, Brenda Fowlkes, and his father, Kim English Sr. raised English along with his two sisters Bria and Jessica and brother Kalil. During his senior season at Randallstown High School, English averaged 18.2 points and 7.4 rebounds and was named MVP while leading Randallstown to their third consecutive state championship. George Washington Revolutionaries Men's Basketball
The George Washington Revolutionaries men's basketball team represents George Washington University in Washington, D.C. They play their home games in the Charles E. Smith Center, an indoor arena that is also shared with other George Washington Revolutionaries athletic programs. The school's team currently competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. 2024 NBA Draft
The 2024 NBA draft was the 78th edition of the National Basketball Association's annual NBA draft, draft. Unlike recent years, the 2024 draft took place over two nights. This was the first NBA draft to be held on multiple nights since the draft was shortened to two rounds, with earlier drafts consisting of as few as three or as many as twenty-one rounds prior to the current format's debut in 1989. Joshua Kwame Awuah Oduro (born October 14, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Birmingham Squadron of the NBA G League. The Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball program is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
