2024–25 Plunket Shield Season
The 2024–25 Plunket Shield was the 96th season of the Plunket Shield, a domestic first-class cricket competition that was played in New Zealand. The tournament started on 11 November 2024, and concluded on 1 April 2025. Wellington were the defending champions, having won their 22nd title the previous season. Northern Districts men's cricket team, Northern Districts are the current champions, after defeating Otago cricket team, Otago to claim first place on the points table. Dane Cleaver
Dane Cleaver (born 1 January 1992) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for Central Districts. He made his international debut for the New Zealand cricket team in July 2022. He is the cousin of New Zealand captain Kane Williamson. Career Central Districts On 21 March 2011, Cleaver made his first-class debut for Central Districts in a rain-affected draw, where only 8.2 overs were possible in the match. He made his List A debut the following season. In June 2018, he was awarded a contract with Central Districts for the 2018–19 season. He also plays first-class cricket for Wellington. Liam Raymond Dudding (born 13 June 1994) is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Central Districts on 15 March 2016 in the 2015–16 Plunket Shield. Bevon John Jacobs (born 6 May 2002) is a New Zealand cricketer, who is a right-handed batsman. He currently represents the Auckland cricket team, and has previously played for Canterbury. Early life and career Jacobs was born on 6 May 2002 at Pretoria, Gauteng in South Africa. He moved to New Zealand with his family when he was three years old. He grew up in Auckland and learned to play cricket from his father. Wayne Roger Knights (born 25 August 1970) is a New Zealand cricket umpire. Along with Tim Parlane, Knights umpired the final of the 2015–16 Ford Trophy, in January 2016.
