2024–25 Omaha Mavericks Men's Basketball Team
The 2024–25 Omaha Mavericks men's basketball team represented the University of Nebraska Omaha in the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mavericks, led by third-year head coach Chris Crutchfield, played their home games at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska as members of the Summit League. Omaha posted an overall record of 22–12 and a record of 13–3 in Summit League play, earning them the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Mavericks defeated 2024–25 Kansas City Roos men's basketball team, Kansas City, 2024–25 South Dakota Coyotes men's basketball team, South Dakota, and 2024–25 St. Thomas (Minnesota) Tommies men's basketball team, St. Thomas to win the tournament championship. Chris Crutchfield
Chris DeShawn Crutchfield (born December 20, 1968) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Omaha Mavericks men's basketball team. Playing career Crutchfield was a two-sport athlete at Omaha, where he was a member of the basketball and football teams. Coaching career Beginning his coaching career at his alma mater Omaha, Crutchfield would then move to UTSA before landing at Tyler Junior College where he would be an assistant, then head coach from 1999 to 2001 where he would compile a 35–29 overall record. Crutchfield would then join Lou Henson's staff at New Mexico State from 2001 to 2005 before assistant coaching stops at TCU and Oral Roberts. In 2011, Crutchfield landed on Lon Kruger's coaching staff at Oklahoma where he was a part of six NCAA Tournament appearances, including the Sooners' 2016 Final Four team. The North Dakota State Bison men's basketball team is a part of the athletic program at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota, U.S. They are members of the NCAA Division I and have been part of The Summit League since May 2007. Home games are played at the Scheels Center which is located on the NDSU campus in Fargo, ND. Madelia ( ) is a city in Watonwan County, Minnesota, United States, along the Watonwan River. The population was 2,396 at the 2020 census. History Madelia was founded in 1857, and named for the daughter of a first settler. A post office has been in operation at Madelia since 1860. Madelia was incorporated in 1872.
