2024–25 Men's FIH Pro League
The 2024–25 Men's FIH Pro League is the sixth edition of the Men's FIH Pro League, a field hockey championship for men's national teams. The tournament began on 30 November 2024 and will finish on 29 June 2025. Format The home and away principle was kept for the season, which was divided into date blocks. To assist with competition planning, international and national, several teams gathered in one venue to contest “mini-tournaments," wherein they each played two matches against one another. If one of the two matches played between two teams was cancelled, the winner of the other match received double points. The winning team will earn direct qualification to the 2026 World Cup. Teams Following their win of the 2023–24 FIH Nations Cup, the promoted team were set with New Zealand replacing the relegated team of the last season of the 2023–24 FIH Pro League, Ireland. Tom Boon
Tom Alain Boon (born 25 January 1990) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays as a forward for Léopold and the Belgium national team. He is regarded as one of the greatest field hockey players in the world. He won a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics. Club career He started at Royal White Star HC, and after also having played for Bloemendaal, he played four years for the Belgian team Racing Club de Bruxelles. In 2019, he moved to the 2018–19 Belgian national champions, Léopold, where he signed a contract for five seasons. International career Boon made his debut in the national team in 2008. Koen Bijen
Koen Bijen (born 27 July 1998) is a Dutch professional field hockey player who plays as a forward for Hoofdklasse club Den Bosch and the Dutch national team. Club career Bijen first played football when he was young but after nine years of playing football he switched to hockey and joined HDM. When HDM in 2017 was promoted to the Hoofdklasse, he was deemed not good enough and he left HDM for Klein Zwitserland. He currently plays for Den Bosch who he joined in 2020. International career Under–21 In 2019 Bijen made his debut for the national junior team during an eight-nations tournament in Madrid. Antoine Sylvain Kina (born 13 February 1996) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Gantoise and the Belgium national team. He is the son of Belgian field hockey coach Pascal Kina. Club career Kina played for Gantoise until 2017, when he moved to the Waterloo Ducks. Gauthier Boccard (born 26 August 1991) is a Belgian professional field hockey player who plays as a defender or midfielder for Léopold and the Belgian national team. He played 310 matches for the Belgian national team from 2012 to 2025. Lucas Veen (born 23 November 2003) is a field hockey player from the Netherlands. Personal life Lucas Veen was born and raised in Zeist, Netherlands. Thijs Johannes Reinier van Dam (; born 5 January 1997) is a Dutch professional field hockey player who plays as a forward for Rotterdam and the Dutch national team. Club career Born in Delft, van Dam started playing at Ring Pass Delft. After the under 14s, he switched to Rotterdam where he currently still plays in the first team. Johannes Große (born 7 January 1997) is a German field hockey player who plays as a defender or midfielder for Bundesliga club Club an der Alster and the German national team. Club career Große grew up in Berlin and started playing hockey at the Zehlendorfer Wespen when he was three years old. When he was eighteen years old he left them for Club an der Alster.
