The discus throw (), also known as disc throw, is a track and field sport in which the participant athlete throws an oblate spheroid weight (object), weight called a discus in an attempt to mark a further distance than other competitors. Érica María Castaño Salazar (born 9 October 1985) is a Colombian para-athlete, who competes in the F55 category, which is for seated athletes with no leg function, partial upper body function and full arm function.
