2024 Volta Ao Algarve
The 2024 Volta ao Algarve ''(English: Tour of the Algarve)'' was a road cycling stage race that took between 14 and 18 February 2024 in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. The race was rated as a category 2.Pro event on the 2024 UCI ProSeries calendar, and was the 50th edition of the Volta ao Algarve. 2024 UCI ProSeries
The 2024 UCI ProSeries was the fifth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road bicycle racing, road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consisted of 55 events, of which 33 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 22 are stage races (2.Pro). There were 49 events in Europe, five in Asia, and one in the United States. Albufeira (, ), officially the City of Albufeira (), is a List of cities in Portugal, city and Concelho, municipality of Faro District in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. Tavira (), officially the City of Tavira (), is a Portuguese town and municipality, capital of the ''Costa do Acantilado'', situated in the east of the Algarve on the south coast of Portugal. Vila Real De Santo António
Vila Real de Santo António () is a city, civil parish, and municipality in the Algarve, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 19,156, in an area of 61.25 km2. It is one of the few municipalities in Portugal without territorial continuity: its territory comprises two parts, with the municipal seat located in the eastern part. Vila Real de Santo António was founded after the 1755 Lisbon earthquake, and largely expanded in 1774 using the same architectural and construction techniques employed in the reconstruction of Lisbon after the disaster. The city is situated next to the Guadiana river. Lagoa () is a city and concelho, municipality in Districts of Portugal, the district of Faro District, Faro, in the Portugal, Portuguese region of Algarve.
