2024 Tour Of Belgium
The 2024 Tour of Belgium (known as the 2024 Baloise Belgium Tour for sponsorship purposes) was the 93rd edition of the Tour of Belgium road cycling stage race, which took place from 12 to 16 June 2024. The category 2.Pro event formed a part of the 2024 UCI ProSeries. 2024 UCI ProSeries
The 2024 UCI ProSeries was the fifth season of the UCI ProSeries, the second tier road bicycle racing, road cycling tour, below the UCI World Tour, but above the various regional UCI Continental Circuits. The calendar consisted of 55 events, of which 33 are one-day races (1.Pro), and 22 are stage races (2.Pro). There were 49 events in Europe, five in Asia, and one in the United States. Durbuy (; ) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Luxembourg, Belgium. The total area is 156.61 km2, consisting of the following districts: Barvaux, Bende, Bomal, Borlon, Durbuy, Grandhan, Heyd, Izier, Septon, Tohogne, Villers-Sainte-Gertrude, and Wéris. Scherpenheuvel-Zichem (; ) is a municipality and city located in the province of Flemish Brabant, Flemish Region, Belgium, encompassing the towns of Averbode, Messelbroek, Okselaar, Scherpenheuvel, Schoonderbuken, Keiberg, Kaggevinne, Testelt and Zichem (previously spelled Sichem, like the biblical town). Tim Merlier (born 30 October 1992) is a Belgian cyclist who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Considered to be one of the fastest sprinters in the world, Merlier has over 50 wins as a professional, including one stage win at the 2021 Tour de France and four at the Giro d'Italia (2021 and 2024).
