2024 Silverstone Formula 2 Round
The 2024 Silverstone Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 5 and 7 July 2024 at the Silverstone Circuit. It was the eighth round of the 2024 Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2024 British Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Qualifying was held on 5 July 2024, at 15:00 local time (UTC+1). Sprint Race The Sprint race was held on 6 July 2024, at 13:15 local time (UTC+1). Notes: * – Gabriel Bortoleto originally finished third, but was later given a five-second time-penalty for overtaking off the track and gaining an advantage on the last lap. As a consequence, Bortoleto was demoted to fourth place, whilst his teammate Kush Maini was promoted onto the podium. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series. Victor Martins (born 16 June 2001) is a French- Portuguese racing driver and member of the Alpine Academy. He won the 2020 Formula Renault Eurocup and the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Championship. Joshua Dürksen (born 27 October 2003) is a Paraguayan-German racing driver currently racing for Arden Motorsport in the Formula Regional European Championship. Career Formula 4 2019 In 2019 Dürksen made his single-seater debut, racing for Mücke Motorsport in the Formula 4 UAE Championship alongside Nico Göhler. Juan Manuel Correa Borja (born August 9, 1999) is an American-Ecuadorian racing driver who races under an American license and is set to compete in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Paul Aron (born 4 February 2004) is an Estonian racing driver currently set to race in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Prema Racing. (born August 10, 1999) is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in Super Formula for Kuo Vantelin Team TOM'S and Super GT for TGR Team WedsSport Bandoh.
