2024 Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League
The 2024 Shakey's Girls Volleyball Invitational League was the second edition of the high school competition organized by the Shakey's Super League and the first SSL tournament of 2024. The tournament started on May 29, 2024, at Adamson University Gym, Ermita, Manila. It features 18 high school teams from different schools. Adamson Lady Baby Falcons dominated Bacolod Tay Tung High School (3–0) in the championship match and was crowned as the champions of the tournament. Bacolod Tay Tung High School settled for silver. King's Montessori School won the bronze after a thrilling 4 sets victory against NU Bullpups in the 3rd place match. Participating teams The following are teams that entered at the Girls Volleyball Invitational League (SVIL). Pool composition The teams are grouped via casting lots. The Zobel Junior Archers and Lady Junior Archers (officially the De La Salle Zobel Junior Archers and Lady Junior Archers) are the varsity teams of De La Salle Santiago Zobel School. UST Golden Tigresses Volleyball
The UST Golden Tigresses are the women’s collegiate varsity volleyball team of the UST Growling Tigers, representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Their head coach as of April 17, 2015 is former Golden Spiker Kungfu Reyes. They are one of the UAAP’s winningest teams with 16 championships, the last coming in 2010 against the De La Salle Lady Spikers. The Tigresses swept their elimination games in 1988, 1993 and 1996 and were declared automatic champions in each of those years. They also have the third most Final Four appearances with 15, behind La Salle’s 20 and the FEU Lady Tamaraws’ 16. UST made seven straight Final Four appearances from 2005 until 2012.
