2024 Rivers Hoopers Season
The 2024 Rivers Hoopers season is the 19th season in club history and the second season of the team in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The Hoopers will play in the Nigerian Premier League (NPL) once again as defending champions. The Hoopers enforced their team with American guard Will Perry, as well as with Devine Eke. Eke and Perry were named to the All-BAL Second Team after the conclusion of the season. They were allocated in the Sahara Conference, and surprisingly won the conference and sealed their first ever playoff spot. In the quarterfinals, they defeated US Monastir, and in the semi-finals they lost to Al Ahly Ly in overtime. Rivers Hoopers
Rivers Hoopers is a Nigerian professional basketball team based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The team plays in the Nigerian Premier League (NPL) and currently in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Established in 2005 as Royal Hoopers, the team began to play in the NPL in 2019 and changed to their current name after the management of the team was taken over by the Government of Rivers State. The Hoopers have played in the Premier League since its inception and won the national championship six times, with titles in 2011, 2012, 2019, 2021, 2023 and 2024. At the continental level, Rivers Hoopers has played in the FIBA Africa Club Champions Cup three times, and has played in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) thrice, in the 2021, 2024 and 2025 seasons. The 2023–24 season of the US Monastir basketball team is the 65th season in club history and will be the 4th season in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Monastir played in their fourth consecutive BAL season, and following a disappointing performance in the previous season, US Monastir brought in ex-players Ater Majok and Chris Crawford for the 2024 season. Obadiah Arthur Noel (born June 28, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for APR BBC of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) and Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). 2024 APR BBC Season
In the 2024 season for APR BBC, APR played internationally in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) and domestically in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). The team played in the BAL following their championship in the 2023 RBL season, 2023 season, that ended a 14-year title drought for APR. It was the second season under coach Maz Trakh. In national competition, APR won the double by winning both the RBL and the inaugural Rwanda Basketball Cup, Rwandan Cup.
