2024 Rhode Island Rams Football Team
The 2024 Rhode Island Rams football team represented the University of Rhode Island as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference (CAA Football) during the 2024 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Rams were led by 11th-year head coach Jim Fleming and played their home games at Meade Stadium. After finishing their regular season with a 10–2 record (7–1 in CAA Football play), the Rams qualified for the NCAA postseason for the first time since 1985. Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference
The Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference, formerly the Colonial Athletic Association Football Conference, branded as CAA Football, is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I whose full members are located in East Coast states, from Maine to North Carolina. Most of its members are public universities, and the conference is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. The New Haven Chargers are the athletic teams that represent the University of New Haven, located in West Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Chargers' 18 varsity athletics teams, seven men's and 11 women's, compete as members of the Northeast-10 Conference, with the exception of women's rugby (added for Fall 2021) which competes under USA Rugby. Tremel Anthony-Lamont States-Jones (born December 24, 2003) is a Canadian college football defensive back for the Rhode Island Rams. He previously played for the South Alabama Jaguars. Early life Tremel States-Jones grew up in Surrey, British Columbia, and attended Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School. During the COVID-19 pandemic in July 2020, he was recruited and transitioned to complete high school at Clearwater Academy International (CAI) in Clearwater, Florida. The Navy Midshipmen football team represents the United States Naval Academy in NCAA Division I FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision) college football. The Naval Academy completed its final season as an FBS independent school (not in a conference) in 2014, and became a single-sport member of the American Athletic Conference beginning in the 2015 season. The UMass Minutemen football team represents the University of Massachusetts in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). Massachusetts is the fourth oldest program in FBS. The Minutemen compete as an FBS independent. Since 1965, their home games have been played at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium on the university's campus in Hadley, Massachusetts.
