2024 Portland Timbers Season
The 2024 Portland Timbers season was the 38th season in their existence and the 14th season for the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top-flight professional association football, soccer league in the United States soccer league system, United States and Canadian soccer league system, Canada. The Timbers finished ninth in the Western Conference and won the Cascadia Cup. The team qualified for the wild card round of the 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs, where they were eliminated by Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The Portland Timbers are an American professional Association football, soccer club based in Portland, Oregon. The Timbers compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference (MLS), Western Conference. The Timbers have played their home matches at Providence Park since 2011, when the team began play as an expansion team in the league. Cascadia Cup
The Cascadia Cup is the name of the trophy created in 2004 by supporters of the Portland Timbers, Seattle Sounders, and Vancouver Whitecaps, which is awarded each season to the best soccer team in the Pacific Northwest. The cup is named for the Cascadia region. The Timbers, Sounders, and Whitecaps have roots dating to the days of the original North American Soccer League. Djordje Aleksandar Mihailovic (born November 10, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids. Andreas Maxsø
Andreas Beyer Maxsø (; born 18 March 1994) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids and the Denmark national team. He is known for his strength, leadership and aerial ability. After moving to the academy of FC Nordsjælland in 2010 from childhood club Brøndby IF, Maxsø made his professional debut in 2012 against Copenhagen. Calvin William Harris (born 20 March 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger or forward for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids.
