The 2024 NRL season was the 117th of professional rugby league in Australia and the 27th season run by the National Rugby League. All times are listed in AEDT (UTC+11) from Round 1 to games on Saturday of Round 5 including the Grand Final and AEST (UTC+10) from games on Sunday of Round 5 to the Preliminary finals. National Rugby League
The National Rugby League (also known as the NRL Telstra Premiership for sponsorship reasons) is a professional rugby league competition in Oceania which contains clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria (state), Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and New Zealand. Tracing its origins back to the New South Wales Rugby League, which formed in 1908, rugby league competition in Australia had gone through numerous iterations, including the 1990s Super League war, by the time the NRL formed in 1998 as a joint partnership between the Australian Rugby League Commission, Australian Rugby League (ARL) and the News Corporation-controlled Super League (Australia), Super League. Melbourne Storm
The Melbourne Storm is a rugby league football club based in Melbourne, Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia that participates in the National Rugby League (NRL). The club plays its home games at AAMI Park, and wears a purple and navy blue jersey with gold and white trim. The first fully professional rugby league team in the state, it debuted in 1997 during the Super League war. Following Super League's collapse, the team became part of the newly formed, united competition. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers is an Australian professional rugby league football team, based in the Inner West of Sydney and South Western Sydney. The Tigers have competed in the National Rugby League (NRL) since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005. The club also won the final edition of the World Sevens in 2004. The club has only qualified for three finals series since their inception (2005, 2010 and 2011). Brisbane Stadium (Lang Park), currently known as Suncorp Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Milton, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Dolphins (NRL)
The Dolphins are a professional rugby league football team, based in the Redcliffe Peninsula area of the City of Moreton Bay (which is part of the greater Brisbane area of South East Queensland, South East Queensland), that competes in the Australian National Rugby League (NRL). Launched as a bid for inclusion into the NRL by Queensland Cup side Redcliffe Dolphins in 2020, the Dolphins were granted a separate licence in October 2021 to compete as the national league's 17th side from the 2023 NRL season, 2023 season onwards. Robina Stadium
Robina Stadium, commercially known as Cbus Super Stadium, is a multi-purpose rectangular stadium in Robina, a suburb of Gold Coast, Queensland. It is the home ground to the National Rugby League's Gold Coast Titans, this venue sometimes hosts the A-League team Brisbane Roar FC. The Gold Coast Titans are a professional rugby league football club, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Grant Atkins
Grant Phillip Atkins (born 3 April 1982) is an Australian rugby league referee. He has refereed in the top-tier National Rugby League since 2011, and has also controlled many finals and representative matches. Early life and education Atkins is the son of former player Graeme Atkins. He completed a Bachelor of Arts (Communication Studies) and a Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Western Sydney, followed by a Master of Communications through Griffith University. From 2004 to 2010, Atkins taught at McCarthy Catholic College, Emu Plains. In 2011, he was a transition liaison officer for Catholic Education, Parramatta. Western Sydney Stadium
Western Sydney Stadium, currently known as CommBank Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Parramatta, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It replaced the demolished Parramatta Stadium (1986) which in turn was built on the site of the old Cumberland Oval, home ground to the Parramatta Eels since 1947. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL). The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Cumberland Oval. After the 1981 grand final win fans damaged Cumberland Oval which was later replaced by Parramatta stadium on the same site. As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium.
