2024 NBA G League Expansion Draft
The 2024 NBA G League expansion draft was the 14th expansion draft of the NBA G League. The draft was held on June 13, 2024, so that the newly founded Valley Suns could acquire players for the upcoming 2024–25 season. The 14 players were chosen from a pool of unprotected players among the league's teams. Each returning G-League team could protect up to 12 of their players from being selected. Théo Louis Maledon (born 12 June 2001; pronounced ) is a French professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Greensboro Swarm of the NBA G League. He plays the point guard position. Born in Rouen, Maledon played youth basketball for French sports institute INSEP before joining the youth ranks of ASVEL at age 16. Trevion Williams (born September 16, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League. Williams played college basketball for the Purdue Boilermakers of the Big Ten Conference. Early life and high school career Williams grew up in Hyde Park, Chicago and learned how to play basketball from his father, Theodore, who took him to pick-up games at the city parks. When his parents separated during his childhood, he began living with his mother, Shawndra Lewis. As a freshman, Williams played basketball for Mount Carmel High School in Chicago and led the freshman team to a 26–0 record. Quinndary Sammy Weatherspoon (born September 10, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Tianjin Pioneers of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
