2024 Motocross Des Nations
The 2024 Motocross des Nations was a motocross race held on 5 and 6 October 2024 at Matterley Basin, United Kingdom. This was the third time that the event was held at this track. France went into the event as the defending champions after winning their seventh title in 2023. Australia took their first title in the history of the event with the team of Hunter Lawrence, Kyle Webster and Jett Lawrence. Entry list Start numbers were allocated based on the team finishes from the 2023 competition. This allocated number plates 1, 2 & 3 to France (1st), 4, 5 & 6 to Australia (2nd) and 7, 8 & 9 to Italy (3rd). The final entry list was published on 3 October. Qualifying Races Qualifying was run on a class by class basis. Top 19 countries after qualifying went directly to the main Motocross des Nations races. Jorge Prado García (born 5 January 2001) is a Spanish people, Spanish professional motocross racer, competing in the Motocross World Championship. He is a two-time MX2 World Champion & is renowned for being one of the best starters in the whole sport. Valentin Guillod (born 18 December 1992) is a Swiss professional Motocross racer. Guillod has competed in the Motocross World Championship since 2010 and is a three-time grand prix winner in the MX2 class. Guillod was the 2013 European Motocross Champion in the EMX250 class. Maximilian "Max" Nagl (born 7 August 1987) is a German professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2003. Nagl was born in Weilheim, Germany. He Had his most successful season riding for Kimi Räikkönen's Ice 1 Racing Husqvarna factory racing team where he took multiple GP wins. Max looked promising for the title that year but was plagued with small injuries that set him back. The ice one racing team was managed by FIM racer Antti Pyrhönen. Gas Gas is a Spanish motorcycle manufacturer established in 1985 by Narcìs Casas and Josep Pibernat in Salt, Girona. The company specializes in off-road motorcycles for trials and enduro competitions. Gas Gas was purchased by KTM motorcycles in 2019.
