2024 Monza Formula 2 Round
The 2024 Monza Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 30 August and 1 September 2024 at the Monza Circuit. It was the eleventh round of the 2024 Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2024 Italian Grand Prix. The Feature Race of this round was notable for Gabriel Bortoleto's charge through the field as he won the race from a record-setting 22nd place on the starting grid. This allowed him to cut title rival Isack Hadjar's lead from 35.5 points to 10.5 points reigniting the title race with three rounds to go. Monza Circuit
The Monza Circuit ( it, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, , National Automobile Racetrack of Monza) is a race track near the city of Monza, north of Milan, in Italy. Built in 1922, it was the world's third purpose-built motor racing circuit after Brooklands and Indianapolis and the oldest in mainland Europe. The circuit's biggest event is the Italian Grand Prix. With the exception of the 1980 running, the race has been hosted there since 1949. Built in the Royal Villa of Monza park in a woodland setting, the site has three tracks – the Grand Prix track, the Junior track, and a high speed oval track with steep bankings which was left unused for decades and had been decaying until it was restored in the 2010s. Isack Alexandre Hadjar (born 28 September 2004) is a French-Algerian racing driver who most recently competed in the FIA Formula 3 Championship for Hitech Grand Prix. He was the 2021 Formula Regional European rookie champion and is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Career Karting Hadjar was born in Paris and started karting in 2015. In the first two years he competed in national championships, and in his final year of karting Hadjar raced in the CIK-FIA European OK Junior Championship, beating out future Red Bull academy member Jak Crawford. Hitech Grand Prix (formerly known as Hitech Racing) is a British motor racing team. It was founded in 2002 by Dennis Rushen and David Hayle. Paul Aron (born 4 February 2004) is an Estonian racing driver currently set to race in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Prema Racing. He previously competed in the Formula Regional European Championship for Prema in 2021 and 2022, in which he ended both series in third. Aron is part of the Mercedes Junior Team. He also won the rookie cup in the 2019 Italian F4 Championship and placed third in the regular standings. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. A coxless four is a rowing boat used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). Taylor Barnard (born 1 June 2004) is a British racing driver who is currently racing for Jenzer Motorsport in FIA Formula 3. He is the reigning ADAC Formula 4 runner-up, as well as a protégé of Formula One World Champion Nico Rosberg. Career Karting Born in Norwich, Barnard began karting in 2012 at the Trent Valley Kart Club. 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship
The 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship is a planned motor racing championship for Formula 3 cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship will be the fifteenth season of Formula 3 racing and the sixth season run under the FIA Formula 3 Championship moniker. It is an open-wheel racing category serving as the third tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway.
