2024 Misano EPrix
The 2024 Misano ePrix was a pair of motor races, the sixth and seventh rounds of the 2023–24 Formula E World Championship, held on 13 and 14 April 2024. It was the first running of the Misano ePrix, a new event held around the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, replacing the Rome ePrix on the Formula E calendar. Background Pascal Wehrlein enters the ePrix weekend as the leader in the Drivers' Championship with a two point lead over Nick Cassidy, followed by Oliver Rowland (nine points behind) and defending champion Jake Dennis (10 points behind). Pascal Wehrlein
Pascal Wehrlein (born 18 October 1994) is a German-Mauritian racing driver for the Porsche Formula E Team. He previously raced in Formula One for the Sauber and Manor teams. Holding dual nationality of Germany and Mauritius, he raced under the German flag in Formula One. He had previously raced in DTM, winning the title with the Mercedes-Benz team HWA AG in 2015. In 2014 Wehrlein became the youngest driver to win a DTM race at the age of 19, and the following year he was the youngest to win the title, at the age of 20. In February 2016 he began driving full-time in Formula One for Manor, scoring his first championship point at the Austrian Grand Prix. Robin Frijns
Robin Frijns (born 7 August 1991) is a Dutch motor racing driver. He is the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion, and the first driver to have won the series in his debut season since Robert Kubica in 2005. Frijns is currently competing in Formula E driving for Team ABT and in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Team WRT. Frijns achieved his first Formula E podium finish in his second outing in the category, and claimed his maiden victory at the 2019 Paris E-Prix. In 2021 Frijns won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 class driving for Team WRT, alongside Ferdinand von Habsburg and Charles Milesi. Lucas Di Grassi
Lucas Tucci di Grassi (born 11 August 1984) is a Brazilian professional racing driver who competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship for Mahindra Racing. He became the FIA Formula E Champion in 2016–2017, achieved three overall podiums at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and won the Macau Grand Prix in 2005. Born in São Paulo, di Grassi began racing karts at the age of ten, and achieved early success in the regional and later national kart series. He progressed to car racing in 2002 and was the runner up in the Formula Renault 2.0 Brazil and Formula 3 Sudamericana championships. Jehan Daruvala (born 1 October 1998) is an Indian racing driver currently serving as a reserve driver for the Mahindra Racing Formula E team. The Rome ePrix is an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship held at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR in Rome, Italy. The race became official when local government unanimously approved of the race. It featured the second longest lap of the season, behind the Marrakesh ePrix, until 2019.
