2024 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2024 Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia) is the nineteenth round of the 2024 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. All races were held at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit in Sepang on 3 November 2024. After Celestino Vietti's win in the Moto2 class, Kalex secured its twelfth straight Constructors' Championship. MotoGP Sprint The MotoGP Sprint was held on 2 November. Race MotoGP The race, scheduled to be run for 20 laps, was red-flagged after the first lap due to an accident involving Jack Miller, Brad Binder and Fabio Quartararo. Marco Bezzecchi (born 12 November 1998) is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing for Aprilia Racing in the 2025 MotoGP World Championship. Career Junior career Bezzecchi won the Italian Moto3 championship in 2015, and also made his debut in the 2015 FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship that season. He ended the year 16th in the standings, with 29 points, finishing in the top-10 on three occasions. Pedro Acosta (motorcyclist)
Pedro Acosta Sánchez (born 25 May 2004) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, competing in MotoGP for the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. Acosta took his maiden win in only his second Moto3 race at the 2021 Doha motorcycle Grand Prix after starting from the pitlane as a penalty for a disciplinary infringement that originated in free practice. In the same season, he won the 2021 Moto3 World Championship becoming the first rookie champion since Loris Capirossi in 1990, and the second youngest ever champion, just one day older than Capirossi was at the time of winning. Álex Márquez Alentà (born 23 April 1996) is a Grand Prix motorcycle rider from Spain racing for Ducati satellite team BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP. Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier championship of motorcycle road racing, which has been divided into three classes: MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3. Classes that have been discontinued include 500cc (although 500cc statistics are combined with MotoGP officially), 350cc, 250cc, 125cc, 80cc, 50cc and Sidecar. The Grand Prix Road-Racing World Championship was established in 1949 by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and is the oldest motorsport World Championship.
