2024 Liga 2 (Peru)
The 2024 Liga 2 (known as the Liga 2 1xBet 2024 for sponsorship reasons) is the 79th edition of the second tier of Federación Peruana de Futbol. This year's edition started on 6 April 2024, and it is scheduled to end in October 2024. Changes For this season the league was expanded to 18 teams from the previous 14. On February 22, 2024, the Peruvian Football Federation announced a new format for the Liga 2. All 18 teams will be divided into two groups in the Regional Stage based on their geographical location, being the Zona Norte (North Zone) and Zona Sur (South Zone). Each team will play each other in a round-robin format and the top six teams will advance to the Group Stage and bottom three into the Relegation Stage. The Liga 2 (Ligue 2) of Peru is the second-highest division in the Peruvian football league system. It is a professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation. 2024 Copa Perú
The 2024 Peru Cup season ( es, Copa Perú 2024), the largest amateur tournament of Peruvian football. The District Stage ( es, Ligas Distritales) started in February - March, and the National Stage ( es, Etapa Nacional) started in November. Academia Cantolao
Academia Deportiva Cantolao is a Peruvian football club based in the city of Callao, Peru. However, the club is mostly known for its youth academy. Molinos El Pirata
Pirata Fútbol Club is a Peruvian professional soccer club based in José Leonardo Ortiz District in the city of Chiclayo, Lambayeque Region. The team currently competes in the Liga 2. History The club was founded on November 15, 2015 in the José Leonardo Ortiz District. It is named after the brother of honorary president Luis Alberto Guevara. Deportivo Coopsol is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Chancay District, Huaral, Lima. The Copa Perú is a association football, football tournament in Peru. Despite its name, it is not entirely an elimination-cup competition involving all Peruvian clubs, but rather a series of league tournaments leading to an elimination tournament, with regional league clubs as participants. 2016 Torneo Descentralizado
The 2016 Torneo Descentralizado de Fútbol Profesional (known as the 2016 Copa Movistar for sponsorship reasons) was the 100th season of the highest division of Peruvian football. A total of 16 teams competed in the season. Competition modus The season is divided into four phases. The first phase is the Torneo Apertura with all teams playing each other once either at home or away.
