2024 Kharkiv Offensive
On 10 May 2024, the Russian Armed Forces began an offensive operation in Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast, shelling and attempting to breach the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of Vovchansk and Kharkiv. Eastern Ukraine Campaign
The eastern Ukraine campaign is a theatre of operation in the ongoing 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine that affects three provinces ( oblasts) in the eastern part of Ukraine: Donetsk Oblast and Luhansk Oblast (collectively the Donbas) and Kharkiv Oblast. The invasion is an escalation or intensification of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which had been waged between Ukraine and Russian proxies since 2014. The battle of Donbas is a major offensive in this theatre of operations and is considered to be the second strategic phase of the invasion. March 2024 Western Russia Incursion
On 12 March 2024, during the Russo-Ukrainian War, Ukrainian-backed armed groups launched a cross-border incursion from Ukraine into Russia. They entered Belgorod Oblast, Belgorod and Kursk Oblasts and clashed with the Russian military. 2023 Belgorod Oblast Incursions
On 22 May 2023, armed groups from Ukraine carried out a cross-border Raid (military), raid into Belgorod Oblast, Russia. Two Russian rebel groups allied with and based in Ukraine—the Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL) and the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC)—claimed to have taken control of several border settlements, and clashed with Russian government forces. The Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK ; russian: Русский добровольческий корпус, Russkiy dobrovol'cheskiy korpus) is a unit of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine formed in August 2022 from Russian right-wing volunteers who have been fighting for Ukraine in the Azov Regiment and other units since 2014.
