2024 Istanbul Mayoral Election
Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, held mayoral elections on 31 March 2024 as part of the 2024 Turkish local elections. Preliminary results suggested incumbent mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was re-elected. Küçükçekmece
Küçükçekmece (; meaning “small-drawer”, from much earlier ''Rhagion'' and ''Küçükçökmece as “little breakdown''" or “''little depression''”, in more ancient times just as Bathonea), is a suburb and district of Istanbul, Turkey, 23 kilometers west of the city centre and laying next to Lake Küçükçekmece. Both the lake and land reside on the European shore of the Sea of Marmara. Rights And Freedoms Party
The Rights and Freedoms Party ( ku, Partiya Maf û Azadiyan, tr, Hak ve Özgürlükler Partisi, abbreviated HAK-PAR) is a Kurdish nationalist political party in Turkey. Advocating federalism as a means of increasing Kurdish autonomy in the south-east of the country, the party split from the Democratic People's Party (DEHAP) in 2002. New Turkey Party (current)
New Turkey Party ( tr, Yeni Türkiye Partisi, abbreviated YTP) or formerly known as Conservative Ascension Party ( tr, Muhafazakâr Yükseliş Partisi), is a Turkish nationalist and Conservative political party formed on 24 January 2013, succeeding the Nationalist and Conservative Party. Under the leadership of Engin Yılmaz, the party contested the 2014 local elections and won 1,834 votes, unable to win any councillors or municipalities. The Homeland Party ( tr, Memleket Partisi) is a political party in Turkey that was founded on 17 May 2021 by Muharrem İnce, the former candidate of the Republican People's Party (CHP) in the 2018 presidential elections. The party originated as a social movement (''Homeland Movement'') in September 2020, two years after the election. It split from the CHP after İnce failed to unseat serving CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu from his position. İnce was also encouraged to establish a party during his Homeland Movement campaign. Felicity Party
The Felicity Party ( tr, Saadet Partisi, SP) is an Islamist Turkish political party. It was founded in 2001, and mainly supported by conservative Muslims in Turkey. It was founded on 20 July 2001 after the Virtue Party (FP) was banned by the Constitutional Court. While the party's reformist wing formed the Justice and Development Party (AKP), the hardliners founded the Felicity Party. Although an Islamist party, its policy platform covers the whole span of political issues in Turkey. The Good Party (Turkish: ''İyi Parti'') is a nationalist, national conservative, Kemalist, and liberal democrat political party in Turkey, established on 25 October 2017 by its current leader Meral Akşener.
