2024 D.C. United Season
The 2024 season was D.C. United's 29th in existence and its 29th consecutive season in the top division of American soccer, Major League Soccer. In addition to MLS, D.C. United participated in the 2024 Leagues Cup. United finished the season 20th in the league and 10th in Eastern Conference, an improvement from 2023 where they finished 12th in the Eastern Conference, and 23rd overall. However, on the final day of the season, the club lost at home causing them to miss the playoffs for the fifth-consecutive season. Christian Benteke finished the season with 23 goals in league play and 25 goals in all competitions, allowing him to win the MLS Golden Boot. 2024 In American Soccer
The 2024 season was the 112th season of competitive soccer in the United States. The season began with friendlies for the United States men's national soccer team, USMNT and United States women's national soccer team, USWNT in January and February. The USMNT competed in the 2023–24 CONCACAF Nations League, winning for the third straight time, and also competed as the host of the 2024 Copa América. The USWNT competed in the inaugural 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup, becoming the first champions of the cup. Dwayne De Rosario
Dwayne Anthony De Rosario OOnt (born May 15, 1978) is a Canadian former professional soccer player, who played as a forward or as an attacking midfielder. A versatile attacker, he played for the Toronto Lynx, FSV Zwickau and Richmond Kickers early in his career. Tyler Austin Miller (born March 12, 1993) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for English League Two club Notts County. Zach Prince (born March 30, 1988) is an American soccer coach and former professional soccer player who is currently an assistant coach for Major League Soccer club D.C. United. He spent his entire professional career as a midfielder with the Charleston Battery in the United Soccer League. 2023 Leagues Cup
The 2023 Leagues Cup was the third edition of the Leagues Cup, an international club soccer tournament between Major League Soccer (MLS) and Liga MX. It was held from July 21 to August 19, 2023, with all 77 matches held in either Canada and the United States. The tournament was organized by the two leagues (MLS and Liga MX) and sanctioned by CONCACAF, the continental governing body for the sport in North America, Central America and Caribbean. Inter Miami CF won the tournament after defeating Nashville SC on penalties in the final at Geodis Park in Nashville, Tennessee.
