2024 Cup Of China
The 2024 Cup of China was the sixth event of the 2024–25 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at the Chongqing Huaxi Culture and Sports Center in Chongqing from November 22–24. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Skaters also earned points toward qualifying for the 2024–25 Grand Prix Final. Entries The International Skating Union announced the preliminary assignments on June 9, 2024. ISU Grand Prix Of Figure Skating
The ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating (known as ISU Champions Series from 1995 to 1997) is a series of senior international figure skating competitions organized by the International Skating Union. The invitational series was inaugurated in 1995, incorporating several previously existing events. Medals are awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The junior-level equivalent is the ISU Junior Grand Prix. Summary Competitions Currently, the sanctioned competitions for the Grand Prix are: * Skate America. The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international sport governing body, governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating. Anastasiia Vitalyevna Gubanova ( Georgian: ანასტასია გუბანოვა, ; born 2 December 2002), is a Russian-Georgian figure skater who represents Georgia in women's singles. She is the 2023 European champion, the 2024 European silver medalist, the 2025 European silver medalist, the 2022 MK John Wilson Trophy bronze medalist, and a two-time ISU Challenger Series gold medalist. Nika Egadze
Nika Egadze ( ka, ნიკა ეგაძე; born 2 April 2002) is a Georgian figure skater. He is the 2021 CS Cup of Austria champion and the 2021 Volvo Open Cup bronze medalist. On the junior level, he is the 2017 European Youth Olympic bronze medalist and competed in the final segment at the 2020 World Junior Championships. Zhu Yi (; born Beverly Zhu on September 19, 2002) is an American-born Chinese figure skater who competes in women's singles. She has competed in the final segment at two ISU Championships, placing 13th at the 2020 Four Continents Championships and 22nd at 2020 World Junior Championships. Dai Daiwei (; born 19 July 2003) is a Russian-born Chinese figure skater. He is a three-time Chinese national medalist and the 2023 Asian Open Trophy champion. Personal life Dai was born on July 19, 2003 in Saint Petersburg, Russia to Chinese father and Russian mom. The family moved to China when Dai was two years old, settling in Shenzhen. She is the 2020 Cup of China champion, a three-time Chinese national medalist (2018–20), and has skated in the final segment at five ISU Championships. An Xiangyi (; born 24 December 2006) is a Chinese figure skater. She is a two-time Asian trophy champion (2023 and 2024) and a two-time (2020 Chinese Figure Skating Championships, 2020 and 2022 Chinese Figure Skating Championships, 2022) national champion. Personal life An was born on December 24, 2006, in Beijing, China to parents, Zhang Aijun and An Longhe. She was originally supposed to be named An Yibing, but Zhang changed her name to be similar to that of champion skaters such as Yuka Sato and Shizuka Arakawa. An is often nicknamed "Nini" by friends and skating fans.
