2024 Constellation Cup
The 2024 Constellation Cup was the 14th Constellation Cup series between Australia national netball team, Australia and New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand. It featured four Test match (netball), netball test matches, played in October 2024. New Zealand had just lost the preceding 2024 Taini Jamison Trophy Series 2–1 to England national netball team, England. However, after winning the first three tests, they eventually won the series 3–1. This was the first New Zealand Constellation Cup win since 2021 Constellation Cup, 2021 and only their third ever in the history of the series. The winning New Zealand team was coached by Noeline Taurua and captained by Ameliaranne Ekenasio. The Australia team were coached by Stacey Marinkovich and captained by Liz Watson (netball), Liz Watson. Sky Sport is a group of sports-oriented television channels operated by New Zealand's satellite pay-TV company, Sky. History Sky Sport 1 is the original Sky Television sport channel in New Zealand. It was first introduced in 1990 as Sky Sport on the Sky UHF service. Cara Koenen (born 27 February 1996) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Sunshine Coast Lightning, which she also serves as the club's Australian Netball Players’ Association delegate. Koenan was a foundation player at the Lightning ahead of the club's inaugural season in 2017. She has remained at the club since that time and was most recently re-signed for the 2020 season. She is the only netballer in the league to have originated from Magnetic Island, which is off the coast of Townsville in northern Queensland. New South Wales Swifts are an Australian professional netball team based in Sydney, New South Wales. Since 2017 they have represented Netball New South Wales in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. Matilda Garrett (born 11 August 1998) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Adelaide Thunderbirds. Career Garrett was selected by the Magpies prior to the start of the 2018 season having previously represented Australia at under 21 level and captained her native state of Victoria at under 19 level. Before being picked by Collingwood, Garrett was on the club's training list in 2017 and enjoyed a breakout season with Tasmanian Magpies in the Australian Netball League . Sophie Muriel Garbin (born 6 April 1997) is an Australian netball player. She was a member of the New South Wales Swifts teams that won the 2019 and 2021 Suncorp Super Netball titles. In 2017 she was also a member of the Western Sting team that won the Australian Netball League title.
