2024 Budapest Formula 3 Round
The 2024 Budapest Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held between 19 and 21 July at the Hungaroring, Mogyoród, Hungary. It was the eighth round of the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship and was held in support of the 2024 Hungarian Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Qualifying was held on 19 July 2024, at 15:05 local time (UTC+2). Notes: * – Luke Browning originally qualified in seventh place, but his best lap time was deleted after causing a red flag. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. The first race was held on 24 March 1986, in memory of János Drapál, the first Hungarian who won motorcycle Grand Prix races. Sami Meguetounif
Sami Meguetounif (born 24 May 2004) is a French racing driver who currently competes in the Formula Regional European Championship with MP Motorsport. Career Karting Born in Marseille and raised in Morocco, Meguetounif started karting in his native France in 2013, racing in the Regional PACAC championship, which he would go on to finish second in. He won the same championship in the Minime class two years later, and soon made his debut in various national championships. Meguetounif moved into international competition in 2017, finishing fifth in the Karting Academy Trophy and getting second place in the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, only losing out to Tijmen van der Helm. That year Meguetounif also won two trophies in his homeland, one of them being the National Championship, beating future flatmate and Formula 4 rival Victor Bernier. Hitech Grand Prix (formerly known as Hitech Racing) is a British motor racing team. It was founded in 2002 by Dennis Rushen and David Hayle. Luke Browning (born 31 January 2002) is a British racing driver, he is the current GB3 Championship Champion driving for Hitech Grand Prix. He was also the champion of the 2020 F4 British Championship with Fortec Motorsports. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Gabriele Minì (born 20 March 2005) is an Italian racing driver who is scheduled to race in the 2023 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Hitech Grand Prix. He is the 2020 Italian F4 Champion, and was runner-up during the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship. Career Karting Minì started his karting career in 2012.
