2024 Big 12 Conference Baseball Tournament
The 2024 Big 12 Conference baseball tournament was held from May 21 through 25 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The annual tournament determines the conference champion of the Division I Big 12 Conference for college baseball. The winner of the tournament will earn the league's automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. The tournament has been held since 1997, the inaugural year of the Big 12 Conference. Among current league members, Texas has won the most championships with five. Among original members, Kansas State has never won the event. Defending champion TCU won their fourth championship in 2023. Iowa State discontinued their program after the 2001 season without having won a title. Oklahoma State and Oklahoma both have three titles each. Oklahoma Sooners baseball is the NCAA Division I college baseball, collegiate baseball team of the University of Oklahoma (OU) based in Norman, Oklahoma. The Big 12 Conference baseball tournament (sometimes known simply as the Big 12 tournament) is the conference championship tournament in baseball for the Big 12 Conference. 2024 Texas Tech Red Raiders Baseball Team
The 2024 Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team represented Texas Tech University during the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Red Raiders played their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park in Lubbock, Texas and compete as members of the Big 12 Conference. They were led by twelfth-year head coach Tim Tadlock. For the first time since 2015, the Red Raiders failed to qualify for an NCAA regional. The 2024 UCF Knights baseball team represented the University of Central Florida (UCF) in the sport of baseball during the 2024 college baseball season. This was the Knights' first season as members of the Big 12 Conference. Home games were played at John Euliano Park on the university's main campus in Orlando, Florida. The Kansas Jayhawks baseball team represents the University of Kansas and competes in the Big 12 Conference of NCAA Division I. The Kansas Jayhawks are coached by Dan Fitzgerald. History While the University of Kansas officially recognized baseball as a varsity sport in 1880, club baseball activities occurred on campus prior to this date and six baseball letters were awarded as early as 1874. Notably, in 1867, a team representing the University of Kansas played games against local clubs such as the Topeka Shawnees and the Lawrence Kaw Valleys at the Kansas State Fair. Baseball clubs representing the university would continue to play games against local area teams until becoming a varsity sport in 1880.
