2024 Alderney General Election
Elections will be held in Alderney in 2024. Elections for 5 of the 10 seats of the States are scheduled to be held on 16 November. An election for the President of the States will be held on 30 November. Finally, a plebiscite election to choose the two members of the States to represent Alderney in the States of Guernsey will be held on 7 December. States Of Alderney
The States of Alderney (French: ''États d'Aurigny'') is the parliament/council and the legislature of Alderney, part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The origin of the States is unknown, but it has operated from the medieval period. The States of Alderney comprises ten Members, and a President of the States of Alderney, currently William Tate who was elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2020. Structure The States of Alderney includes ten members elected for four years terms, with half of the members having to stand for election every two years so that the entire parliament is changed over a period of four years. There is also a president who must stand for election every four years, although there is no constitutional limit on the number of terms he may serve. Alderney ( ; ; ) is the northernmost of the inhabited Channel Islands. It is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown Dependencies, Crown dependency. It is long and wide. 2024 Elections In Europe

It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures.
