2023–24 Vijay Hazare Trophy
The 2023–24 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 31st edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, an annual List A cricket tournament in India. It was played from 12 November to 16 December 2023. The tournament featured 38 teams, divided into five groups. It was being played in six cities across the country: Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ranchi, and Ahmedabad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the principal national governing body of the sport of cricket in India. Ranchi
Ranchi (; ) is the capital city and also the largest district by population of the Indian state of Jharkhand. The Maharashtra cricket team is a state cricket team that represents the Maharashtra state in domestic cricket of India. It is governed by Maharashtra Cricket Association. The Vidarbha cricket team is an Indian domestic cricket team plays in the India's domestic first-class cricket competition Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The Sikkim cricket team is a cricket team that represents the state of Sikkim in Indian domestic competitions. In July 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the team as one of the nine new sides that would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season, including the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, prior to the start of the tournament, the team did not have a ground to play first-class cricket on. The Pondicherry cricket team (also Puducherry cricket team) is a cricket team that represents the union territory of Puducherry in Indian domestic competitions. In July 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the team as one of the nine new sides that would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season, including the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. In August 2018, Abhishek Nayar, who previously played for Mumbai, decided to join the team. The Tripura cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in Agartala, India. The team represents the Indian state of Tripura. The Kerala cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Kerala. It is in the Elite Group of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first class cricket tournament in India.
