2023–24 Super Smash (men's Cricket)
The 2023–24 Super Smash was the 19th season of the men's Super Smash Twenty20 cricket competition played in New Zealand. It took place between 19 December 2023 and 28 January 2024. Northern Brave were the defending champions. Auckland won the competition. Competition format Teams played a double round-robin in a group of six, playing 10 matches overall. Matches were played using a Twenty20 format. The top team in the group advanced straight to the final, whilst the second and third placed teams played off in an elimination final. The group worked on a points system with positions being based on the total points. New Zealand Cricket, formerly the New Zealand Cricket Council, is the governing body for professional cricket in New Zealand. Tim Robinson (New Zealand Cricketer)
Timothy Blake Robinson (born 28 April 2002) is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut on 26 November 2021, for Wellington against Canterbury in the 2021–22 Men's Super Smash. He made his first-class debut on 20 March 2022, for Wellington against Otago in the 2021–22 Plunket Shield season. Wayne Knights
Wayne Roger Knights (born 25 August 1970) is a New Zealand cricket umpire. Along with Tim Parlane, Knights umpired the final of the 2015–16 Ford Trophy, in January 2016. He was added to the ICC International Panel of Umpires in June 2016. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match, between New Zealand and Bangladesh, on 26 December 2016. Knights made his Twenty20 International (T20I) umpiring debut in a match on 3 January 2017, also between New Zealand and Bangladesh. He was one of the twelve on-field umpires for the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20. He was named as one of the sixteen umpires in January 2020, for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, in South Africa. Eden Park
Eden Park is a sports venue in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located three kilometres southwest of the Auckland CBD, on the boundary between the suburbs of Mount Eden and Kingsland. James Neesham
James Douglas Sheahan Neesham (born 17 September 1990), better known as Jimmy Neesham, is a New Zealand international cricketer who plays for the national team. He also plays in various T20 leagues around the globe as an all-rounder. He was a member of the New Zealand squads that finished as runners-up at the 2019 Cricket World Cup and the 2021 T20 World Cup. Michael Rippon
Michael James Rippon (born 14 September 1991) is a South African-born cricketer. He current plays international cricket for New Zealand, having previously also played for the Netherlands national cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls left-arm unorthodox spin. Personal life Rippon was born in Cape Town on 14 September 1991. He lived in the Netherlands for three years as a young child, his Dutch grandfather having immigrated to South Africa in the 1970s. Not Out
In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with, so the innings ends. Usually, two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket.
