2023–24 Saudi Second Division
The 2023–24 Saudi Second Division is the 47th season of the Saudi Second Division since its establishment in 1976. The season is scheduled to begin on 15 September 2023 and conclude on 18 April 2024 with the final. The group stage draw was held on 12 June 2023. Team changes A total of 32 teams are contesting the league, including 23 sides from the 2022–23 season, 3 relegated teams from the FD League, and 6 promoted teams from the Third Division. Saudi Second Division
The Saudi Second Division , also known as the Second Division League (SDL), is a football league that is the third tier of the Saudi Arabian football league system. The league consists of 32 teams divided into two groups and was founded in 1996. Promotion and relegation The top 3 teams are promoted to the First Division League. The first two teams of each group will advance directly to the First Division League, and the second two teams of each group will compete in two round-trip matches, and the winning team will advance to the First Division League as the third team. The bottom two clubs of each group are relegated to the Third Division League. 2022–23 Saudi First Division League
The 2022–23 First Division League (known as the Yelo League for sponsorship reasons) is the 2nd season of the Saudi First Division League after its rebrand, and the 46th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 22 August 2022 and will conclude in May 2023. Overview Changes On 9 October 2020, the Saudi FF announced that the number of teams in the league would be decreased to 18 starting from the 2022–23 season. Due to this decision, 5 teams were relegated last season instead of the usual 4 teams. In addition, only 3 teams were promoted from the Second Division instead of 4 teams. On 14 April 2022, the Saudi FF announced that the number of teams in the Pro League would be increased from 16 to 18 teams. To prepare for this change, only 2 teams would be relegated to the First Division League and 4 teams would be promoted to the Pro League. Al-Safa Club is a sports club, based in Saudi Arabia, that competes in the Saudi Second Division. The club's headquarters are located in the Safwa City in the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia near Dammam and King Fahd International Airport. Al-Taraji Club
Al-Taraj Club ( ar, نادي الترجي) is a Saudi Arabian professional sports club based in Qatif. The club was founded in 1980 and plays its home matches at the Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Stadium.The club was formed in 1980 as a result of the coalition of Al-Bader and Al-Shate, the only two football clubs from Qatif at the time. The 2023–24 First Division League (known as the Yelo League for sponsorship reasons) was the third season of the Saudi First Division League after its rebrand, and the 47th season of the Saudi First Division since its establishment in 1976. The season started on 14 August 2023 and concluded on 28 May 2024. On 6 May, Al-Qadsiah became the first team to be promoted following a 2–2 draw with Ohod. They were crowned champions following a 4–2 win against Al-Najma on 13 May. On 21 May, Al-Kholood and Al-Orobah became the final two clubs to be promoted following wins over Al-Safa and Al-Jabalain respectively. On 30 April, Al-Taraji became the first team to be relegated after a 4–1 defeat away to Al-Kholood. On 13 May, Hajer became the second team to be relegated following a 2–1 defeat to Al-Faisaly. Al-Houra FC
Al-Houra FC () is a Saudi Arabian football club based in Umluj, Tabuk and competes in the Saudi Second Division, the third tier of Saudi football. The club was founded in 1975 and consists of various other departments including table tennis, volleyball, and karate. The club's current president is Fahad Al-Refaei, who was inducted in 2022. The club play their home games at Al-Houra Club Stadium in Umluj which has a capacity of 3,154.
