The 2023–24 Belgian Division 2 was the eighth season of the division in its current format, placed at the fourth-tier of football in Belgium. Team changes In * The champions from each of the four divisions of the 2022–23 Belgian Division 3 were directly promoted: Overijse (VV A), Wezel (VV B), Mons (ACFF A) and Rochefort (ACFF B). * Also promoted after winning the promotion play-off were Voorde-Appelterre, Houtvenne, Tournai and La Calamine. * Ninove, Rupel Boom and Mandel United were all relegated from the 2022–23 Belgian National Division 1 after finishing in the bottom three places. K.F.C. Turnhout is a Belgian football club, from the municipality of Turnhout. History K.F.C. Turnhout was founded as ''Turnhout Sport'' in 1912 with matricule n°148. After World War I, the club was refounded as ''F.C. Turnhout'' with the same matriculation. Erpe-Mere United is a Belgian association football club based in Bambrugge, East Flanders. The club has matricule number 5343 and the club's colours are black and yellow. The 2023–24 Belgian National Division 1 was the eighth season of the third-tier football league. The league began on 30 August 2023 and ended on 12 May 2024. This was the final season in the league's current format and from the following season, it split into a Flemish (VV) and Francophone (ACFF) division. The 2022–23 Belgian National Division 1 is the seventh season of the third-tier association football, football league in Belgium and the first one in which U23 teams are admitted into the league, due to the last minute bankruptcy of K.S.V.
