The 2023–24 season is the 123rd season in the history of Barrow A.F.C., Barrow and their fourth consecutive season in EFL League Two, League Two. The club are participating in 2023–24 EFL League Two, League Two, the 2023–24 FA Cup, FA Cup, the 2023–24 EFL Cup, EFL Cup, and the 2023–24 EFL Trophy. Barrow enjoyed one of the best seasons in their history, including a 15-match unbeaten run between October and December, finishing the season in 8th place, narrowly missing out on a promotion play-off spot. Mazeed Ogungbo (born 20 October 2002) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Barrow. James Chester
James Grant Chester (born 23 January 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back and is a free agent. Chester began his career with Manchester United but made only one appearance for the club. He had spells on loan at Peterborough United, Plymouth Argyle and Carlisle United before joining Hull City in January 2011 on a permanent contract. He spent three-and-a-half years there before signing for West Bromwich Albion in 2015. After only one year with West Brom, Chester joined Championship club Aston Villa in the summer of 2016. Samuel Robert Foley (born 17 October 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Barrow. Born in England, he has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level. A former Republic of Ireland youth international, he began his career at Cheltenham Town, and though he played on loan at Bath City he left Cheltenham in 2008 without making a first team appearance. Courtney Duffus (born 24 October 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Morecambe. He is a former Republic of Ireland U21 international. Club career Everton Duffus joined Everton in the summer of 2012 from Cheltenham Town. It came after Courtney, along with his younger brother, Tyrone impressed in the trial earlier that year. Thomas Alan White (born 9 May 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Barrow. Club career Gateshead After playing for a boys clubs with future Blackburn teammate Adam Armstrong and youth football for Carlisle United, he signed for Gateshead at the age of 18. David Richard Worrall (born 12 June 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Barrow.
