Iggy Pop
James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), known professionally as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, musician, songwriter, actor and radio broadcaster. He was the vocalist and lyricist of proto-punk band the Stooges, who were formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited many times since. Often called the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Godfather of Punk", he was named one of the ''50 Great Voices'' by NPR due to his distinctive voice. David Van Cortlandt Crosby (August 14, 1941 – January 18, 2023) was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Meg Baird is an American musician based in San Francisco, California, United States, who, in addition to her solo career, is known as a founding member, lead vocalist, and drummer for Heron Oblivion, along with members from Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound and Comets on Fire. Bass Drum of Death is an American Garage punk (fusion genre), garage punk band from Oxford, Mississippi, United States, currently signed to Fat Possum Records. History The band's frontman, John Barrett, formed Bass Drum of Death in 2008 as a one-man-band, playing both his bass drum and guitar. The band's members are from Oxford, Mississippi, and they played in Oxford to its booming music scene for years (mainly 2008-2013) before John decided to move to New York City. ''Electrophonic Chronic'' is the second studio album by the Arcs, a side project of Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. It was released on January 27, 2023, under Auerbach's label Easy Eye Sound. Recording A second album was initially conceived by the Arcs following the release of their debut album '' Yours, Dreamily,'' (2015); however, this did not materialize. ''Electrophonic Chronic'' features the original lineup of the band and was recorded primarily prior to Richard Swift's death in 2018. The Arcs
The Arcs are an American garage rock band formed by Dan Auerbach, the guitarist and vocalist of the Black Keys. The band consists of Auerbach, Leon Michels, Nick Movshon, Homer Steinweiss, and formerly Richard Swift, who died in 2018. They released their debut album '' Yours, Dreamily,'' in 2015.
