2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship Qualification
The 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying competition was a men's under-17 football competition that determined the 15 teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Hungary in the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament. Players born on or after 1 January 2006 were eligible to participate. Apart from Hungary as the host, the remaining 53 teams entered the qualifying competition, where the format consisted of two rounds: Qualifying round, which took place in October and November 2022, and Elite round, which took place in March 2023. 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship
The 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-17 Euro 2023) was the 20th UEFA European Under-17 Championship (39th edition if the Under-16 era is also included), the annual international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-17 national teams of Europe. Hungary hosted the tournament. A total of 16 teams played in the tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2006 eligible to participate. Same as previous editions held in odd-numbered years, the tournament acted as the UEFA qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. The top five teams of the tournament qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia as the UEFA representatives. Matviy Ruslanovych Ponomarenko (; born 11 January 2006) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Dynamo Kyiv. Career Born in Myronivka, Kyiv Oblast, Ponomarenko began his sportive career in the local sportive school #1, where his first trainer was Mykhaylo Halych. 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship Qualification
The 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying competition was a men's under-17 football competition that determined the 15 teams joining the automatically qualified hosts England in the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament. Apart from England, all remaining 54 UEFA member national teams entered the qualifying competition (including Kosovo who entered for the first time). Players born on or after 1 January 2001 are eligible to participate. Each match has a duration of 80 minutes, consisting of two halves of 40 minutes with a 15-minute half-time.
