The 2023 Spikers' Turf season is the sixth season of the men's volleyball league Spikers' Turf, the counterpart of the women's Premier Volleyball League ''(formerly called Shakey's V-League)''. The sixth season started on January 22, 2023, with the launch of the 2023 Spikers' Turf Open Conference. Spikers' Turf
The Spikers' Turf is a men's semi-professional volleyball league in the Philippines associated with the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. (Sports Vision). History The league had its beginnings in 2014, when the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its 21st conference. The following year, Sports Vision decided to spin-off the men's division as a separate league, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf. In late-2016, Sports Vision announced that the league be merged back in the 2017 season with the Shakey's V-League (which was renamed as the Premier Volleyball League; PVL). The men's division in the PVL ended with the 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference as its final tournament. The Spikers' Turf was revived on October 6, 2018 and was reestablished as a separate legal entity from the PVL. Ateneo Blue Eagles Men's Volleyball
The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the men's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the Ateneo de Manila University. They compete in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). History The Ateneo Blue Eagles men's volleyball team was formed in 1967. They first played competitive varsity volleyball when they participated in the women's volleyball tournament of the NCAA (Philippines) in Season 43 (1967–68). After 7 year, Season 51 (1975–76), the Blue Eagles won their first NCAA men's volleyball championship. In Season 52 (1976–1977), they won their second NCAA volleyball championship title and first back-to-back championship title. They were unable to defend their title in the NCAA because Ateneo de Manila transferred to the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) in 1978. Benilde Blazers
The College of Saint Benilde Blazers are the NCAA senior varsity team of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. The Blazers were formerly a member National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) before they applied and were admitted to the NCAA in 1998. They then went on to win their first NCAA seniors basketball title in 2000 was the fastest for an expansion squad. The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Blazers. The juniors team are the CSB–LSGH Junior Blazers (officially the CSB–LSGH Greenies) of La Salle Green Hills, while the women's teams (volleyball and taekwondo) are the St. Benilde Lady Blazers. The San Beda Red Lions is the collegiate varsity basketball team of the San Beda University that plays in the NCAA. The juniors basketball team is called the Red Cubs of San Beda University–Rizal, while the women's varsity basketball team is called the Red Lionesses. The Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals are the varsity teams of Emilio Aguinaldo College of Paco, Manila. The Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) is paired as the junior (high school) varsity team of the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC). The EAC-ICA Brigadiers is the junior team of EAC Generals. The Adamson Soaring Falcons are the collegiate men's varsity teams of Adamson University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines which is the mother sports league of the ''Falcons''. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the ''Lady Falcons'' while the high school varsity teams are called the ''Baby Falcons'' and ''Lady Baby Falcons''. The De La Salle Green Archers (also known simply as the Green Archers) are the men's varsity teams representing De La Salle University in the Philippines.
