The 2023 FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Czech Republic was the third race of the 2023 Speedway Grand Prix season. It took place on 3 June at the Markéta Stadium in Prague, Czech Republic. It was the 29th Speedway Grand Prix of Czech Republic. The event was won by Martin Vaculík for the second consecutive year. Markéta Stadium
The Markéta Stadium () is a 10,000-capacity multi-use stadium on U Vojtěšky in Břevnov, Prague, Czech Republic. The stadium hosts motorcycle speedway and has been the home of the Speedway Grand Prix of Czech Republic since 1997. The speedway track has a circumference of 353 metres (386 yards). The stadium opened during the 1930s as an athletics ground and is home to the athletics club PSK Olymp Praha (athletics), PSK Olymp Praha and the Prague speedway team AK Markéta Praha. Since 1959, it has been hosting international speedway events and on an annual basis it also holds the Luboš Tomíček Memorial, named after the rider Luboš Tomíček Sr. In 2022, the stadium was selected as the first ever venue for 2022 SGP2. Jan Kvěch
Jan Kvěch (born 18 October 2001) is a Czech international speedway rider. He is a member of the Czech Republic national speedway team. Career Kvěch won the bronze medal at the Czech Republic Championship in 2019. He qualified for the 2021 Speedway Grand Prix and won the 2020 European Individual Speedway Under 19 Championship. He won the silver medal at the World Under-21 Championship in the 2022 SGP2 and a silver medal at the 2022 Czech National Championship. Tai Woffinden (born 10 August 1990) is a British speedway rider. He is a three-time World Champion (2013, 2015 and 2018). Early life Woffinden was born in Scunthorpe, the son of former speedway rider Rob Woffinden. Although born in the United Kingdom and competing as a British rider, Woffinden grew up in Perth, Western Australia after his parents Rob and Sue decided to move there in 1994. Anders Thomsen (born 1 January 1994) is an international speedway rider from Denmark and a triple Danish champion. Speedway career Thomsen became champion of Denmark, winning the Danish Championship in 2020.
