ISSF World Cup
The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It still is carried out in the Olympic shooting events, with four competitions per year in each event. For the best shooters there is since 1988 a ''World Cup Final''. World Cup Final The World Cup Final in rifle and pistol is often, but not always, held in Munich as the ISSF shooting season ending competition. The location and date of the World Cup Final in shotgun are more flexible. To the Final, the following shooters are qualified: * The defending Olympic, World, ISSF World Cup Final champions. * Silver and bronze medalists of either the last Olympic or the World Championship, whichever competition that was most recently held. * The eight shooters that have made the best performances at the World Cup competitions during the year. Rudrankksh Patil
Rudrankksh Patil (born 16 December 2003) is an Indian sport shooter. He won medals at the Shooting World Cup. In December 2022, he ranked first in 10m air rifle in ISSF rankings. He won an Olympic quota berth for India in Men's 10m air rifle for the Paris Olympics. Early life Patil was born in Thane, Maharashtra. His learnt shooting initially from Coach Snehal Kadam at PTKS Ville Parle for 5 to 6 years then from coach Ajit Patil at Thane. His father, Balasaheb Patil and mother, Hemangini Patil, encouraged him to take up shooting. Initially, he started with chess and football but shifted to shooting. Career At the 2022 Asian Games at Hangzhou, Patil scored a world record score on way to winning India's first gold medal on 25 September 2023. Maciej Kowalewicz
Maciej Kowalewicz (born 4 November 1999 in Olsztyn) is a Polish sport shooter specializing in rifle shooting, and a bronze medalist at the Junior European Championships. Biography Maciej was born in Olsztyn. He completed his education at the local Gymnasium No. 3 and XI High School. In 2018, he began studying tourism and recreation at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. In 2019, he won a bronze medal at the European Championships in Bologna in the junior men's 50 m rifle three positions event. He was bested only by Germany's Max Braun and Russia's Grigoriy Shamakov. István Péni
István Péni (born 14 February 1997) is a Hungarian sport shooter. He won a bronze medal in boys' 10 m air rifle shooting, and also shared a top prize with Egypt's Hadir Mekhimar in the mixed international rifle team at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. Peni is also a member of the shooting team at Újpesti Sports Club ( hu, Újpesti Torna Egylet) in Budapest under his personal coach József Tóth and Edit Kissné Oroszi. Peni made his first Olympic team for Hungary as a 17-year-old at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, where he achieved a total of two medals in shooting: a gold and a bronze.
