2023 Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2023 Austrian motorcycle Grand Prix (officially known as the CryptoData Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich) was the tenth round of the 2023 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season and the sixth round of the 2023 MotoE World Championship. All races (except for both MotoE races which were held on 19 August) were held at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on 20 August 2023. The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Austria, Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Daniel Holgado Miralles (born 27 April 2005) is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer who currently competes for Red Bull KTM Ajo in the Moto3 World Championship. He previously competed in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship in 2021 with the Aspar Junior Team, where he won the championship. Álex Márquez Alentà (born 23 April 1996) is a Grand Prix motorcycle rider from Spain racing for Ducati satellite team Gresini Racing MotoGP. He has competed in MotoGP since the 2020 season, having previously become World Champion in the 2019 Moto2 season. The 2023 MotoE World Championship (known officially as the 2023 FIM Enel MotoE World Championship for sponsorship reasons) was the fifth season of the MotoE World Championship for electric motorcycle racing and was part of the 75th F.I.M. The 2023 FIM MotoGP World Championship will be the premier class of the 75th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Teams and riders All teams use series-specified Michelin tyres.
