2023 Athletissima
The 2023 Athletissima was the 47th edition of the annual outdoor athletics meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland. Held on 30 June at the Stade olympique de la Pontaise, it was the 6th leg of the 2023 Diamond Leaguethe highest level international track and field circuit. Just 15 days after two athletes ran 12:41 at the 2023 Bislett Games, Berihu Aregawi ran a new world lead of 12:40 in the 5000 metres, leading some to call 2023 the "year of the 5k". Angelina Topić ( sr-Cyrl, Ангелина Топић; born 26 July 2005) is a Serbian athlete specializing in the high jump. At the age of 17, she won the bronze medal at the 2022 European Athletics Championships, becoming the youngest medallist of the entire championships. Aaron Brown (born 27 May 1992) is a Canadian sprinter who specializes in the 100 and 200 metres. As part of Canada's 4 × 100 m relay team, he is the 2024 Olympic gold medalist, 2020 Olympic silver medalist, 2016 Olympic bronze medalist and the 2022 World champion. Letsile Tebogo (; born 7 June 2003) is a Botswana sprinter. He won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the 200 metres event, with his win earning the first-ever Olympic gold medal for Botswana. Salome Lang (born 18 November 1997) is a Swiss athlete who competes in the high jump. She is a multiple-time national champion having won her first Swiss title at the age of 16 years-old. She is the Swiss national record holder outdoors and indoors. She competed at the 2020 Olympic Games.
