2023 AFL Women's Supplementary Draft
The 2023 AFL Women's supplementary draft was the draft that enabled the 18 clubs in the AFL Women's competition to recruit overage players prior to the 2023 AFL Women's season. On October 19, 2022, the AFL announced that the draft would be a once-off overage national draft, to be held on Tuesday, 4 April, 2023. Tait Mackrill (born 3 September 1999) is an Australian rules footballer who played for (GWS) in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She was drafted in the 2017 AFLW rookie draft before debuting in round 3 of the 2019 season. Early life From Port Broughton, South Australia, Mackrill has a footballing background; her father played more than 200 matches for his local team. She originally played for the Broughton-Mundoora Football Club. After a move to Adelaide, she began playing for Morphettville Park and later represented Adelaide University. Mikayla Morrison (born 1 March 2002) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Fremantle Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Morrison was drafted by Fremantle with their second selection, and 30th overall in the 2020 AFL Women's draft. Cat Phillips (born 13 October 1991) is an Australian rules footballer, playing for Essendon in the AFL Women's competition. She was recruited by Melbourne as a category B rookie in October 2016. She made her debut in the fifteen point loss to Brisbane at Casey Fields in the opening round of the 2017 season. She played every match in her debut season to finish with seven games. The University of Queensland Australian Football Club (UQAFC) is an amateur Australian rules football club playing in thQFADivision 1, Division 4 anQAFLWLeague competitions, overseen by AFL Queensland. Kate Lutkins (born 31 May 1988) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the AFL Women's. She was the "best player on the ground" at the 2021 AFL Women's Grand Final.
