The 2022–23 New Taipei CTBC DEA season was the franchise's 2nd season, its second season in the T1 League. The DEA were coached by Lee Yi-Hua in his second year as their head coach, with Chang Shu-Jen as their general manager. On September 5, 2022, the T1 League hired Chang Shu-Jen, the general manager of the New Taipei CTBC DEA, as their new secretary general. And the DEA hired Liu Chih-Wei, the general manager of the CTBC Brothers, as their new general manager. T1 League
The T1 League ( zh, T1聯盟) was a professional basketball league in Taiwan. It was the third Taiwanese professional basketball league after the now-defunct Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA; 1994–1999) and P. League+ (PLG; founded in 2020). History 2021 On May 10, 2021, Kuan Kuang-Chung, the former National Basketball Association (NBA) Taiwan region general manager, was named as the sponsor of the new professional basketball league. There were four corporations willing to join the league. On May 24, the name of the new league was announced as T1 League. Teams from Kaohsiung City, New Taipei City, Taichung City, and Taipei City applied to join the league. On May 26, the Kaohsiung Aquas announced to join the T1 League. Taiwan Beer (basketball)
The Taiwan Beer Basketball Team () is a professional basketball team in the Super Basketball League (SBL) and The Asian Tournament (TAT), sponsored by the Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (TTL). Before the privatization of the sponsoring corporation in 1999, the team was named "Taiwan Tobacco and Wine Monopoly Bureau Golden Dragons" (公賣金龍) and was among the most successful franchises in Taiwan's amateur Division A conference (甲組聯賽).
